Launch Week!

Hi, welcome!

I can’t believe it’s finally time to write my first ‘A Week In My Wellies’ blog!

I’ll tell you a bit about how this all started….

Growing up with my dad, he always encouraged me to write.

In 2021 I started seriously attempting to write a number of books and could never finish them, until now!

My son was born in 2024 and he has unknowingly helped me to finish my first book. Making up stories for him at bedtime has been a beautiful moment in our day but it has also inspired The Yellow Wellies Collection, he’s my little cofounder!

Not only have I written my first children’s book but I’ve created an activity pack alongside it, oh and written another book that I hope might help those back to school butterflies!

My books will be available to buy on Amazon on the 29th August and I cannot tell you how excited I am to hopefully see children all over the world enjoying the stories and activities I have put together!

However, growing up with my dad on a council estate with very little to get by, I’m no stranger to seeing something like a book I would love to buy and not being able to take that book home with me.

If I can help a family/a child/a school/a hospital or anyone who doesn’t have the means to buy such things right now, I’ve created the yellow wellies free library on my website. You will have access to my full stories and activity packs or just simple one page activities to do at home if you’re lost for something to do! I’ll be adding new activities every week so please feel free to check in when you can to see if anything might interest your little ones!

We’re heading into launch week—a week I’ve been preparing for for so long now—and of course, my son and I have been hit with the most horrendous virus! My lovely uncle has sadly passed away and many other things have made this last week very hard. But I’m powering through, working whenever I can grab even a minute to meet my little self set deadline!

I really hope you enjoy what I’ve put together, please be kind! I’m so nervous to put this out into the world! But there’s a small part of me that isn’t crippled with anxiety that is so proud of The Yellow Wellies Collection!
